Refund and Cancellation Policy

Understanding our guidelines for Article Processing Charges (APC), payment procedures, and manuscript cancellations

At Power of Knowledge, we are committed to transparency and fairness. This Refund and Cancellation Policy protects both authors and the journal while maintaining integrity of the peer-review and publication process. Please review these terms carefully before submitting your work.

Understanding our Refund Policy for APC

The Article Processing Charge (APC) is a one-time fee covering peer review, editorial management, DOI assignment, and digital archiving.

Non-Refundable

Once accepted and APC paid, no refunds will be granted—even if author withdraws or article is retracted for misconduct.

Prior to Publication

If author withdraws after paying APC but before publication, payment remains non-refundable as work has already been completed.

Rejection

If manuscript is rejected during review, no APC is charged. Submission fees are non-refundable regardless of decision.

Important Notice

Once payment is made, it covers the entire editorial and publication process. The fee is non-refundable as it compensates for work already performed.

Exceptions to the Refund Policy

Refunds will only be considered under these specific circumstances:

Double Payment

If author accidentally makes duplicate payment, the duplicate amount will be refunded in full.

Journal Error

If we fail to publish due to technical error on our end, full refund will be processed.

Payment Processing Error

If amount charged exceeds stated APC, excess will be refunded immediately.

Unauthorized Charges

Report unauthorized charges immediately for investigation and potential refund.

Eligible for Full Refund

Contact our finance team at team@powerofknowledge.co.in with payment proof, transaction ID, and invoice details.

Withdrawn or Retracted Articles

Author Withdrawal

Authors can withdraw before APC payment at no charge. Once payment is made and production begins, fee is non-refundable.

Retraction due to Misconduct

If paper is retracted for plagiarism, copyright infringement, or academic misconduct, no refund will be issued.

No Refund for Misconduct

Articles retracted due to academic misconduct are not eligible for any refund.

Physical Items (Certificates/Hard Copies)

For printed hard copies or certificates:

Returns

No returns unless items arrive damaged, defective, or contain printing errors.

Damaged Goods

Report within 7 days with photographic proof. Replacement sent at no cost.

Incorrect Information

Corrected replacement provided free upon verification of our error.

Refund Processing Timeline

If refund is approved, the following timeline applies:

Submit Request

Email team@powerofknowledge.co.in with payment proof, transaction ID, and reason.

Review & Approval (3-5 Days)

Finance team reviews and verifies details. Confirmation email sent upon approval.

Credit to Account (7-14 Days)

Amount credited to original payment method. Bank may take additional 3-7 days.

Total Processing Time

Total refund processing may take 7-14 business days. International transactions may require up to 21 days.

Manuscript Cancellation Guidelines

Before Review

Withdraw at no charge by notifying us via email with manuscript ID.

During Review

Withdrawal allowed but may result in processing fee if editorial work completed.

After Payment

Once APC paid and article in production, cancellation not eligible for refund.

After Publication

Cannot be cancelled or unpublished except through formal retraction per COPE guidelines.
